I can't wait to get back to Haleakala someday. Running at altitude in Colorado really helped me out there. Take care.Woodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11677463549607656479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955599134695240379.post-11168646560210897122011-04-15T18:00:41.684-06:002011-04-15T18:00:41.684-06:00That is a fun run, good to see someone else bloggi...That is a fun run, good to see someone else blogging about it. I wouldn't know since my head was always down navigating those rolling rocks!

The other thing to note about running in HI is the humidity. Even on a short road run in the early morning, I was sweating like crazy.Woodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11677463549607656479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955599134695240379.post-9217956151602382462011-03-18T15:11:33.432-06:002011-03-18T15:11:33.432-06:00My ankles hurt just looking at them trail conditio...My ankles hurt just looking at them trail conditions.Jaimehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17488328413041896384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955599134695240379.post-60359493448090445032011-03-18T12:44:42.220-06:002011-03-18T12:44:42.220-06:00Woody - Great pictures again. What a place.
Yeah...Woody - Great pictures again. What a place.

Yeah, those look pretty rocky. But the oceanside views and the green slopes...

I enjoy running on packed talus, boulders, rocks set firmly in the dirt and stable small rocks.

What I don't like is rolling rocks (ball bearing to baseball sizes) and sharp ones that hit the sides of my feet and ankles (such as teeter-tottering, unpacked talus). It looks like you got a bit of each on your trip. But with volcanoes, I guess that's to be expected.mtnrunner2https://www.blogger.com/profile/10974435572236740294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955599134695240379.post-25887131036404514402011-03-18T12:38:06.343-06:002011-03-18T12:38:06.343-06:00Dude.
